Micaela Simeone is completing her Bachelor’s degree in English and Digital & Computational Studies at Bowdoin College in Maine. As an intern with AARP in 2020, she worked to expand high-speed internet access to underserved regions of Maine and promote digital literacy. Currently, she is working as a summer fellow on a self-designed research project exploring the history and evolution of computer languages. As a writer with the Bowdoin Science Journal, she has also published articles on such topics as AI text generators and artificial general intelligence. She is nearly fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and can communicate in French.
